Any other business,

Again the question of hound men abusing the All.- in trails and what could we implement to stop this.. Also the number of trails at a midweek meeting should be limited to a maximum of three to give the employed  time to attend. in essence limit the number of all – in trails.

Once again our statistician   (Bill) gave a breakdown of the number of trails and grades for the last season and advocated a rise in venues.,

The price of trail mixture charged to the Whitehaven area promoters was discussed .The price for mixture is £8.30p per meeting, the Whitehaven area charge £15 whereas  other areas only charge £10.  Explanation was that they paid for the storage and upkeep of the rags whereas the other areas don’t.

A heated discussion followed on the policing of practice / trial trails and the role of the rule book in such trails especially with reference to vice..

The Committee will clarify this at a future meeting together with the insurance.

The Chair closed the meeting at 4.45.
