Report . A treble for the Huntsman’s kennel , an impressive display by Nimrod, spread-eagling the field on notching her 18 victory. Also finishing 1-2 in the restricted trail and Jenny’s Aura confirming her superiority over Galemire in the seniors .

66 runners and only two jumped the wall in the wrong place at halfway , was there a scale ? NO!     So they were running HTA bought Paraffin, HTA supplied Aniseed, woollen rags, a shot of oil and competent trailers. Nuff Said!!

Report. A mist shrouded fellside greeted the hounds at Fellside, visibility for the seniors was 50 metres and out of the gloom came Jenny’s Aura with Galemire Grace 10 seconds behind and a similar distance to the third and fourth. On the plus side was the tracking device used by the finishing end trailer without which he couldn’t find his way to Cockermouth council chambers.. The mist cleared somewhat for the remaining trails and in the pups Huntsman’s Nimrod and New Agenda came with a good lead. Having watched the finish from afar in the next three trails it is with a certain amount of guesswork how and what happened. but, ! Meadow Dixie narrowly beat Bedazzled , Paloma Faith came from behind to beat Jenny’s and Annabella?. What I can say if all is correct the maidens and restricted were exactly the same time

Report. Wet and windy at Redmain but we had four exciting finishes starting with Denzil Washington pulling out all the stops too hold off the challenge of Mystery Bound, to register his tenth victory of the season. In the juniors Rhythm once more used her finishing speed to maintain a narrow lead over Cracking Spirit and kennelmate Rover and in a similar fashion Encourage beat Kinniside Molly and West Tip and once more as the gloom appeared; Ben 10 for Tanya Satterthwaite finished strongly to hold 0ff Breeze and West Tip

Report . The times of the three races reflected the conditions between today and sports day, much more amenable and a welcome shower now and then.

Only six in the first but nevertheless an intriguing contest develop, appearing from behind the trees to a gasp from the appreciative audience came four hounds within 20 yards and Jenny’s Delight won three lengths.

In the pups Cuckoo Lane continued his good run of form but he was helped when Huntsman’s Novice put a circle in before crossing the lane putting paid to his chance of victory, the favourite Huntsman’s Nimrod was third and Overwater Seth unplaced. Just a mention here , it is not often that “Greenie” gets a ticket nevermind two in one race .

The Huntsman’s were in charge in the last  when taking first and second  with two Jenny’s and Jenny turned up to make three.

Report . A mild evening .but the “seeing” was difficult, not to bad for the seniors but the pups and maidens ran in gloomy conditions..Free Spirit showed his liking for the rugged conditions and gave a great display for a veteran in finishing second to Overwater Hally , whoe’s kennelmate overwater Seth had the pups stitched up only to go missing in the  penultimate field and taking advantage was Cuckoo Lane. And in the last a finishing burst from Kinniside Bess carried her to victory witnessed by all bar Geoff who was fast asleep in the land of make believe, where drink is free and squarky has lost his voice.

Report. Has the “back-end” finally arrived, it was cold and by the time the last race was slipped it was extremely gloomy. In the senior trail Galemire Grace got off the mark with her first senior win in two seasons when  she came from behind table leader Jenny’s Aura to win by a head , Canny Mover was third and these three had a good lead over the remainder.

The pup trail and once more a two hound race , Huntsman’s Nimrod maintaining her lead in the junior  championship with a win over New Agenda.

Jenny’s Breeze won the last in the impending gloom completing an excellent night for the Glenridding Kennel, two winners and a second and third.

Report . 1 2 3  all trails went by way of Dearham and the question asked was , which hound was Darren shouting for in the pup trail , did he encourage Rover , was it Rhyme or Rhythm and to top it all the first seven were whelped in Dearham.

Silver Dusk set the ball rolling with an easy victory at the generous odds of 4/5, it was a lot closer in the pups with Rover just getting the better of Encourage with the favourite in third place and the last race another close call with Rita edging out Cracksman and Bronco
