Jenny Bland
Jenny is one of the up and coming stars of the hound trailing's future and is leading the way forward for younger members to aspire to. Jenny can be seen on the trail field with mum Denise and Grandad Denis who train hounds under the Huntsman's prefix.
1) How did you get involved in the sport of Hound Trailing?
I was born into it.
2) How long have you been involved in the sport of Hound Trailing?
16 years.
3) Which have been the best hounds you have trained?
Either Jenny’s Rascal or Huntsman’s Dazzler.
4) Which is the best hound you have seen run and why do you think so?
Melody because it’s a good all round hound.
5) What is your favourite venue and why?
Old Golf Course, Keswick because it is a good viewing fell trail and our hounds like it.
6) Which are your most memorable victories?
Winning the Bitch Produce with Jenny’s Pride, the International with Jenny’s Rascal and winning both the Bitch and Dog Produce on 2012 with Huntsman’s Hope and Jenny’s Rascal.
7) Who is your favourite hound trailing character past or present and why?
Erm… Probably Ike Dixon because he was always a good character to talk too.
