Report: The senior trail and at half-way a rejuvenated Free Spirit was leading but , onto the finish and (on good authority) Daisy Dream and Overwater Arnie had a nice lead over Serenity. Arnie went on to win , his third of the season , and is starting to stamp his authority on the senior championship even at this early stage.

The juniors , and to coin a phrase ‘it’s a funny old game’ when the Overwater pair of Roger and Hally , winners of the last two trails at Bower were still unaccounted for until after the last trail and together with Yorkshire Lad they were re-united with their owners. The spoils went to the consistent Huntsman’s Loyal, who did his best to ‘ throw it away ‘ just holding on from his kennelmate Jenny’s Aura.

The Open Maidens and a one -two for the veterans when What Look got the better of Tiagress with another Overwater in third.

Onto the last and the leader tumbled at the dyke ( no idea what it was ) this left Thorn Dolly to win from Celtic Ty and Great Gable.
