Report :  The conclusion , after the event, and the answer is that 98 hounds can’t be wrong and that the starting end trailer cut three to four minutes running time off the trail. During the puppy event and after an area meeting it was decided to let the result stand if the hounds completed within the time limit. There was a few  mutterings from spectators who had expected the event to be made void. Why? because the hounds hadn’t gone where they were suppose to immaterial  of where the trailer had been. In the end and you can see from the times all three short trails were in a 15 second window and legal. The question now is? what happens next time.!!!

The seniors got underway in driving rain which turned to hailstones, turning the surrounding fells white and the spectators blue. And the first home was Buble just in front of kennelmate Queen with a couple to watch in third and fourth, Jenny’s Aura and Bewitched.

The juniors , and having persuaded the public we are going the right way,  were led home by Huntsman’s Nimrod and New Agenda well clear of Best Mate in third.

All eyes were on the maidens and as reported they went the same route as the pups and were led home by Manna , who beat West Tip by a couple of lengths. And in the last trail Night Vision handled by Gerard Tynan ( two veterans ) whilst Neil’s on holiday, beat Sweet Harmony.
