Report

98 runners on a cold ,windy evening at ‘ exposed lamplugh’.Despite the weather the hardy souls were treated to four excellent and close finishes.

Fireman Sam cut out the early pace together with Acacia but they both had to give way to Debra’s superior finishing speed ,the Kentmere bitch won going away to register a few tidy wagers.

The pup trail and here Persian Sky showed her liking for the course and won well from Huntsman’s Kraka and Jazz Band who showed in front but the downhill finish once again proving hard work. Saturdays winner Thorn Dancer finished the wrong side of the fence.

OM – A quiz question -Name a Champion that won a maiden trail aged seven.

Look no further than evergreen ‘Diamond’. Half way down the hill and nobody knew what was in front ,all those trails she’s won and soon ‘unknown’. By the look of Arthurs face I don’t think she was ‘expected’ but win she did in front of Mr Ant and the consistent Doll.

And the final trail in the gathering gloom was won in style by Gerard’s Celtic Ty ,ten yards in front of the favourite Jazz Singer.
