Report. Only nine seniors ,mind, there was a few more in the all- in, and it was first win of the season for Arizona who beat off the challenge of Jenny’s Delight,  after Prudence had led them a merry dance for most of the trail but dropped back to finish fourth, Queen and Buble ,first timers in the Lazonby senior rank were third and fifth and Russel was quoted as saying ‘Watch out next time’.

The pups had an untimely scale on the finish perhaps due to  the fact that somebody drove his car over the trail and spread it about .Not sure who it was but it was a Kia with a dint in the front.

The consensus of opinion is that the result was not affected as Overwater Stanley won handily from Provincial  and ‘Magician’. the first  five were well clear of the remainder.

The all-in was once again won by Thorn Fire, fourth of the season!nearly  four minutes faster than the pups- they finished bunched up and overheard was ‘ I thought I was fifth ‘ ” it doesn’t matter it’s an all-in , a £2 run.”
