The May day trails were held on Helton fell and under the auspices of the Carlisle and Penrith area and their Chair, who was also trails manager , Paul Airey did an excellent job and provided the spectators with six , keenly run trails. Our thanks go to the trail layers Willy, Craig and Duncan, john , starter an timekeeper , Wak for judging, Ann  the lonely gate person..

The Landowners and farmers , sponsors etc. The day resulted in a profit of £164 for the HTA funds.

And not forgetting the persons who scouted the farm road , after paying to enter ,they spent all afternoon on the road, Chris and Sheila Swainson.
