Report. A special thanks to all the farmers and landowners for their permission, the trailers Pat , Roy and Garry, John for the gate, Bruce , Mike and Kimberly for scouting and Quad biking and the weather for staying kind.

The senior trail and after a long time in the wilderness Thorn Dancer finally came good, and it was no fluke as she strode away from her rivals on the homeward stretch and won handily from Bedazzled and Ladybird.

In the senior trail at the lane crossing the gate was shut as the hounds were to jump the wall about ten yards away , but no!, the hounds jumped the gate instead, so in the maidens we opened the gate , and what happened, all the maidens jumped the wall In front was Jazz Band , but he stopped to “piddle” on approaching the line and in trailing lingo ” Got nowt”. The winner was Capetown who didn’t relish the downhill finish and only won in the final strides from Hunter’s Dale.

Two hounds dominated the pup trail and it looked like it was the “Generals”  turn , as he led down the hill but in the final ten metres Jenny’s Aura came with a flourish and won by a length.

Only five non- winners ( there isn’t many more) and four if them kept company all the way round and it wasn’t until the final strides that we found a winner and that was Settle’s Yorkshire Lad trained by Nick Wilson, who’s brother was chief cook and bottle washer in the tea van.

Onto the restricted trail and it was a case of can you fool them into thinking “this is a new trail”, the answer “NO” and as two of them crossed the lane ignoring the bridge, jumped the wire landed in the beck which isn’t fast flowing ,but is deep enough for “Tom Daley” floundered about ” doggy paddle or breaststroke “and then proceeded up the old trail, turned around, came back, turned around set off again , I’ve no idea what they were but they were the cleanest and wettest hounds to finish.. Oh! and Dawn beat Menorah with Highness in third , these three were well clear of the rest.

The final trail , the veterans and the favourite Artisan ,almost completed the trail twice, Well! it was a nice day and a wonderful view from the top of Sour Howe., better than Hallgarth , any day!  The rest of them were led home by Kerrymore who just got the better of Simply Rascal and Silver Spangle who beat Tagget by a nose for third.

Now! As the first person on the field asked for the ladies. We attempted to erect some sort of  “Bog” . And the first person to use the so called ” Ladies Toilet” Jimmy Batty!.
