Report. A welcoming sight to all hound owners and the hounds as well – RAIN! And did some hounds benefit from the cooler and wetter conditions.

If you had Jenny in your name or were a ‘Huntsman’ you would have been in the prize money at Goosewell. Eight runners, seven tickets  first and third in the seniors, one two in the pups and first and third in the last.

I don’t think the seniors altered much from halfway, where Jenny led from’ hope’ with Debra in third. Huntsman’s Jenny, appreciating the rain, won comfortably from former kennelmate Huntsman’s Hope with Jewel in third.

The pup trail and after a early scale, Jenny’s Aura poached a good lead and won comfortably from kennelmate Huntsman’s Loyal. the placed hounds as recorded doesn’t play a true record. Miterdale Copper, Sweet Harmony,Canny Mover and Stand By all ran off on the finish and crossed the line behind the wall and were not judged.

The maiden trail and former champ Song Bird stormed up the final meadow to get the better of earlier leader Quiet Siskin, the first five being well clear of the rest led in by a rejuvenated ‘Jacob’.

Not another one , ‘yes’ the last race and ‘Jenny’s Rose making it a ‘Bland treble’  won easily from Jimmy Choo who held off a rather mature Jenny’s Rascal for second place.
